Robert De Niro — Los Angeles, 1991 (In Color)
Fine Art Photography

Richard Corman's portrait of Robert De Niro, made in Los Angeles in 1991, captures one of cinema's greatest actors at the height of his powers. De Niro in this period was at the center of American film culture — a figure of extraordinary intensity, craft, and presence whose work had already redefined what screen acting could be. Corman photographs him with the directness and intimacy that define his finest portraits, finding in De Niro's face the same complexity and depth that has made his performances so enduring.

This color edition offers a different register from the black-and-white version — warmer, more immediate, more of its moment. The palette of 1991 Los Angeles is present in the image: the light, the atmosphere, the particular quality of a city that has always been as much a state of mind as a place. Together, the two editions form a complete portrait of a man and a moment.

A work of cinematic and cultural significance, available exclusively through Studio CT.
