“Exile’s OK” — Limited Edition Print

Photographed in Los Angeles in 1972 by Norman Seeff, “Exile’s OK” captures Keith Richards at the height of the Rolling Stones’ creative powers , the year of Exile on Main St., widely regarded as the band’s masterpiece and one of the defining albums in rock and roll history.

The title reflects Richards’ attitude during the period: relaxed, unpretentious, entirely at ease with himself and his circumstances. Seeff, known for his intimate and psychologically perceptive sessions with the era’s greatest musicians, described Richards as the quintessential rock musician , a man who needed no performance in front of the camera because the life itself was the performance. The image has been exhibited in galleries including Jackson Fine Art and is among the most recognized fine art photographs of Richards in existence.

As guitarist and co-founder of the Rolling Stones, and co-principal songwriter alongside Mick Jagger, Richards created what many consider rock’s greatest single body of riffs — a virtuosity rooted in Chicago blues and expressed through the weaving guitar interplay that defined the Stones’ sound. His catalog includes “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “Honky Tonk Women,” and “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”
