May You Be Blessed by Lily Lambert

May You Be Blessed was born from a deeply reflective journey. After visiting the 9/11 Memorial grounds, Lily found herself contemplating the fragility, individuality, and sacredness of each life. Every person carries a story, a constellation of memories and experiences that can never be repeated. The work emerges from this awareness , a quiet reverence for life itself and the blessing of simply being here to live it.

Moved by this gratitude, Lily turned to symbolism. Rare white crows appear throughout the piece, representing the beauty of what is uncommon, singular, and irreplaceable. Like each human life, they remind us that rarity is not something to chase, but something we already are.

Inspired by the loving, maternal energy of Mother Mary, the mirror becomes both an artwork and a meditation. It invites the viewer to see themselves within it , to recognize their own uniqueness and to receive the gentle message at the heart of the piece: that to exist, to love, and to experience life at all is, in itself, a blessing.
