Michele Benzamin-Miki is an artist, meditation teacher, and visual dream journalist whose work emerges from five decades of contemplative practice. Her drawings and paintings explore the liminal territories between dreaming and waking, the unconscious and the conscious, the human and the luminous. Working in pencil, colored pencil, sumi ink, and colored inks, she creates images of extraordinary psychological and spiritual depth — works that function simultaneously as art objects and as records of an inner life of rare richness and discipline.

“Flight is about the liminal space between dreaming and waking. The symbol of the rope as the thread that connects us to the dream world, coming to its end. How do we then respond to what we have learned from our unconscious submerged in dreaming, and what we can bring back to course correct or inspire us in our waking up from the dream.”
